JAMES COVERT, who died at his resi- dence in Mayfield on Friday last, in his 100th year. He came to this section in the year 1816 or 1817, settling on the farm where he died. He was noted for many eccentricities, but generally re- garded as an honest and well meaning man. He was a man of considerable wealth, and leaves a large number of descendants. ===============================================================================
