     Mr. & Mrs. Patrick Fitzsimmons died at their home May 11 and
     14th, respectfully on Clark Ridge near Fanlight. Mr. Fitzsimmons
     was born in Ireland in 1822 and came at the age of one year with
     his parents to America to Ohio County and they later moved to
     Marshall County. He was twice married first to Amelia Scott 
     11 May 1848. To this union were four children three of whom are
     living. He came to Wetzel County in the spring of 1868.

     Mrs. Fitzsimmons was born in Washington County, Pennsylvania in
     1824. She came with her parents to Greene County, Pennsylvania
     and later to Marshall County. She was sixteen years on crutches.
     The second Mrs. Fitzsimmons, Elizabeth was born 18 March 1825 in
     Greene County, Pennsylvania. Her maiden name being Covey. They
     were married 4 July, 1858. To this union were six children,
     three boys and three girls.

July 4, 1858, Patrick Fitzsimmons married Elizabeth Covey. 
He was a widower, age 36, born in Ireland, 
son of James & Elizabeth Fitzsimmons. 
She was single, age 29, born in Washington County, Pa, 
and daughter of John & Mary Covey. 
His occupation was farmer.
