Obituary: Brown, Jesse Miller (1860-1937)

     Jesse Miller Brown died from a stroke at his home in Paden City
     (April 30, 1937) at age 77 years. Born February 26, 1860 at
     Burton, Wetzel County. He married Indiana Moore in Burton on 
     May 3, 1879. She died December 15, 1923. He married Mrs. Ina J.
     Bowers on February 26, 1925 who survives him. Also surviving him
     are a sister: Lavina Sines of California; children T. A. Brown of
     Sunberry, Pa.; D. E. Brown of Paden City and C. E. Brown of Paden
     City. Mrs. F. M. Kiger of Paden City; Mrs. R. A. Hoskinson of
     Middlebourne; and Mrs. Clem Shriver of Paden City. Four step-
     children: Mrs. Earl Holmes of Baltimroe, Md.; Mrs. C. A. Olson of
     Indiana; Mrs. W. E. Bowers and O. O. Bowers of Paden City.

     Mr. Brown lived at Burton until 1863 when he moved to Burchfield
     and in 1913 moved to Paden City where he has owned and operated
     the Brown Lumber Company. Burial in Northview Cemetery, New
     Martinsville.
