WOOD, JOSEPH, farmer, Upshur County, Va., n.d.; June term, 1851. 

L.L.D. Loudin, ex. 

Testator desires pmt. of debts and funeral expenses from first money
pd. to ex. from accounts, if funds insufficient enough property to be
sold; slaves to remain "on farm" until youngest child (not named)
becomes of age then to be equally divided among "all my children";
widow to retain her 1/3 interest during life, at her death her share
to be sold and proceeds to be divided among children; household and
kitchen furniture and other necessary personalty to remain on farm;
farm to be kept in use of family until youngest child reaches legal
age then to be sold with reservation of dwelling house and 1/3 of
realty to wife for life use; remainder to be equally divided among
children and at widow's death same division to be made.
