MARTIN, is a minister in the Baptist Church, has been Pastor at Holly Grove, Sand Run, Ten Mile, Tallmansville and Hacker's Valley, appointments for the past four years. He is also a farmer and owns 100 acres of land near Carter Postoffice on which he lives. He was born November 18, 1867, and was married March 26, 1894, to Celia Rose Elmer, who was born January 21, 1872, and their children are: Junia Inez, born April 8, 1896, and Wirt Warren, born April 27, 1900. The subject of this sketch was a son of Thomas and Sarah C. (Moore) Martin and the grandson of Josiah and Kissa (Vincent) Martin of Holly Grove. His wife was a daughter of E.
