James Buckner, Red Jacket Mine, was killed by mine car. The driver was pulling a loaded car from his room, which is an up grade haul. He stopped to rest his mules. The mules and the check which the driver had put under the wheel failed to hold the car and it ran back about 20 feet and caught Buckner, who was following closely behind the car.
