Compas, John     (Polish; age 45; Married; 2 children)

     February 4, 1906. John Compas, Hitchman Mine, was digging some coal 
     down on face of his room where there was a piece of slate which extended 
     out about two feet over edge of coal. When he dug the loose coal from 
     back edge of the stone, it let go and fell on him.
