   Had resided much of his life in Monongah, W. Va.
   Retired from major league baseball in 1966. 
   Had won more than 100 games in his big league career.
   Hurled a no-hitter and won 20 games in the National League.
   His no-hitter came for the Cubs against the Pirates May 12, 1955.
   Pitched for the Giants, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Detroit, Baltimore,
   Cleveland, and Chicago's Cubs.
