Luther (charleywest@hotmail.com) Hayzlett Cemetery Caretakers: Louis Nunn Jay Mitchell 304-756-2739 304-562-9413 Cemetery Signs: “Notice Trucks Do Not Enter” “Gate Provided With Love By Clemon Van Bibber 1965” Transcriber’s Note: The inscriptions listed here are as true as possible to the actual text on the headstones. Notes on the last page are taken in part from an inscription done in August 1980 by William T. Watts. If the birth date was not given by Mr. Watts, or is in question, then I will provide my own calculation and denote it with cDOB (calculated date of birth). All military markers will be noted with † beside the name. Washington Hayzlett dedicated this cemetery to the community about the year of 1850. Directions: At the Sod Post Office take Garrett’s Bend Road to the 4-way stop sign allowing a right turn to Fall’s Creek Road. Do not make this turn, instead go straight. Hayzlett is the very first dirt road on the right after the 4-way intersection. The main gate unlocks easily. ====================================================================================================== ENGRAVED NAME ENGRAVED DATES ====================================================================================================== 1.
