Watson | I, James O. Watson, of the county of To | Marion, state of West Virginia, do Will | make this my last will hereby revoking any former will. First, I give and bequeath to my daughters, Ida M. and Lucy L. Watson my home residence and about Twenty Three acres of land purchased of Matthew L. Fleming & Alfred Fleming, together with all my household & kitchen furniture & fixtures. Second: All the residue of my property both real & personal I desire to be sold by my executors hereinafter named--The real estate to be sold on a credit running from one to five years & may be sold at private sale--Out of the proceeds of any such sale or of any funds that may come into the hands of said executors I desire all my just debts to be paid as soon as possible. Third: I desire that Mose [sic] B. Lamb be paid one hundred dollars per year for five years. Fourth: I desire that all the residue of my estate be divided equally between all my children deducting advances heretofore made to them. The shares of Frank E. and Clarence W. Watson are to be retained by the executors and the interest only to be paid them quarterly for ten years after my death and then only on condition that their habits & business persuits [sic] become such as to justify the belief they will take care of the money and put it to proper use. In case of the death of either of them their share shall be divided equally between the other children. I desire that the stock owned by me in "The Gas Coal Company," "The Montana Coal and Coke Company," "The West Fairmont Coal and Coke Company," "The Peabody Insurance Company" and "The First National Bank of Fairmont" be divided equally between my children and heirs--As witness my hand seal this 8th February 1892. At a county court, held in and for Marion County, at the courthouse of said county on Monday the 23rd day of June 1902. This day a paper writing bearing date on the 8th day of February, 1892 purporting to be the last will and testament of James O. Watson, deceased, late of this county, was produced in open court by William H. Watson and offered for probate, and the whole of said paper writing as well as the body of said paper writing and the signature appearing to be in one and the same handwriting and the execution of the whole of said paper writing, including the body the same and the signature. Thereto, by the said Testator, James O. Watson in his own and proper and genuine handwriting being proven by the testimony under oath of Jare H. Wheelwright, Walton Miller and George DeBolt according to law, who testified that they had known the said Testator for upwards of seven years and 7 years and 15 years respectively and had seen him write frequently within said time, and had been acquainted with his proper hand writing for about 7 years and 7 years and 15 years respectively and would and do know it when they see it, and that the whole of said paper writing, including the body thereof and the signature thereto is the own proper genuine hand writing of the said James O. Watson, deceased, and that they believe at the time of making of the same said James O. Watson, deceased, was of sound mind and memory, the said paper writ- ting [sic] is admitted to probate and record as and for the true last will and testament of the said James O.
