He is an Odd Fellow, a Democrat, and a farmer and stockdealer, residing on Hacker's Creek, where he owns 200 acres of well improved land. He attended the West Virginia College, at Flemington, and has held the office of County Superintendent. Mrs. Talbott's grandfather, Henry Snyder, came from Germany to Virginia, and in 1827, near Newburg, Preston County, his son, James, Mrs. Talbott's father, was born.
