                           Lake Captain Killed
                           
              Milwaukee, Jan. 28. - CAPTAIN SAMUEL T. LAWSON,
            a well-known vessel owner of this city, was killed
            by a trolley car here. He was walking between the
            car tracks on the Clybourn line near Twenty-sixth
            street, and, owing to the cold wind, frequently
            turned and walked backward. It was while walking
            thus that he was killed, the motorman supposing
            that he must have seen the car and would step off
            the track in time.
