JENSEN Is Dead Here. Former Master of Lake Boats Was a Bridgetend- er; ill 3 weeks. Capt. NELS JENSEN, 73, bridgtend- er and former master of lake vessels, died Thursday morning at St. Luke's hospital after an illness of three weeks. Born in Denmark, CAPT. JENSEN came to Milwaukee at the age of 18. For many years he was captain of the two-masted schooner Agnes, carrying logs from northern Wis- consin to Milwaukee. The Agnes sank of Manitowoc, Wis., several years ago. For the last sixteen years CAPT. JENSEN was a bridge- tender at the north end of the Sixth st. viaduct. Surviving are his wife, CHARLOTTE; two sons, OSCAR and NELS E.; two daughters, Mrs. TEKLA WEIRZBA and Mrs. TALMA DE VERE; a sister, Mrs. TILLIE KISS, and a brother, JULIUS, all of Milwaukee. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Tebo & John- son funeral rooms, 3232 W. Lincoln av. Burial will be in Pilgrims' Rest cemetery.
