Nicholas Ferdi- nand, 87, who died at Trinity hospital Monday night, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m., from the undertaking rooms of Gaffney & Deuster, 511 Broadway, to Calvary cemetery. Capt. Ferdinand had been in command of steamers on the great lakes for fifty years. He is sur- vived by four sons and three daughters, Anthony B., Nicholas F., Frederick P., Alexander J., Mrs. L. A. Jansen, George F. Stroebel and C. B. Meyers. Capt. Ferdinand lost his wife three weeks ago. ===========================================================================
