No. 40 Thursday, December 26, 1912 NASWAUPEE PIONEER PASSES AWAY ANDREW SORENSON, an Old Settler, Claimed by Death on Monday, in His 76th Year. Another of the poineers (sic) of the county was called to that "bourne from which no traveler re- turneth" when ANDREW SORENSON passed away at his home in Hainesville on Monday morning. Death was the result of chronic cystitus, or inflammation of the bladder, from which he had for some time been a sufferer. MR. SORENSON was born in Norway on December 22, 1838, and was therefore 74 years and one day old at the time of his death. He was married in the old country in 1862 to MISS OLENA PETERSON, and with wife came to America in 1874. They settled in Door county the following year, where they have since made the home. Eleven children were the outcome of this union, nine of whom are liv- ing and with the widow survive. There are CHARLES, of Seattle, Wash., MRS. HILDA BRISTOU and MRS. DAN FRITZ of Chicago, ELMER of Minneapolis, Minn., OSCAR of Munising, Mich., EDWARD of Berlin, Wis., MRS. EMMA LARSON, MRS. JAS. GORDON and HARRY of Nasewaupee. The funeral will take place from the German Lutheran church at Sawyer this afternoon, Rev. E. T. Rogne, officiating at the services, and the remains will be interred at the Haines- ville cemetery. ===========================================================================
