           Funeral of GEO. ROHDE.
           
           Veteran Drayman of City Laid to Rest
            Last Saturday - Leaves Three Orphans.
            
           Funeral services for GEORGE ROHDE, for years
         engaged in the drayage and express business in
         this city, were held last Saturday afternoon
         from the M. E. church, Rev. ELLIS officiating.
         Interment was made in Bayside. Among those from
         outside here to the funeral were Mrs. BARBARA
         ARNOLD, of Arnold, Mich., Mrs. JOS. DANIELS and
         E. DANIELS of Manitowoc and Mrs. J. T. EMPEY of
         Algoma.
           Mr. RHODE had been ill for months. In June he
         underwent an operation and a month later sub-
         mitted to another operation but his condition
         steadily grew more serious. He disposed of his
         business here following the second operation.
         His death occurred Thursday of last week.
           Deceased was born in Sevastopol in April,
         1878, the son of Mr. and Mrs. HENRY ROHDE. In
         1901 he married Miss TILLIE JENSEN, who died
         about two years ago. They had three children,
         CLIFFORD, aged 17; FLOYD, aged 14 and a baby
         of two years.
           Mrs. B. KIMBER has had charge of the house-
         hold since the death of Mrs. ROHDE and will
         continue to care for the home until the baby
         is 18 years of age, according to the will of
         the father.
