The funeral was held from the Bethel church where JOHN MALLOCK, a close friend of the captain, gave a very touching sermon. CAPT. HANSON was born in Norway in 1870 and has been a resi- dent of this county for the past 52 years. He resided at Ephraim for two years before coming to the Island. Thirty-nine years ago he was married to CAROLINE ANDERSON here. Surviving is MRS. HANSON and two daughters, MRS. TOM GOODMAN, of this township, and MRS. CHARLES SAND, Milwaukee. Among those who were here for the funeral were MRS. SAND, Milwaukee; MR. and MRS. ALFRED HANSON, Escanaba; and MRS. STRAM and son, of Sturgeon Bay. CAPT. HANSON underwent an operation last winter at Sturgeon Bay and never fully recovered his vigor. ==========================================================================
