T. MORBECK we learn that, on the 5th inst., a son of Mr. PETER THOMAS, aged nine years, was drowned while bathing. He was in company with two other small boys, who, when he got beyond his depth, were too young to render any help. - The body was re- covered and efforts made to restore life, but the spark had fled. The loss falls heavily on the parents as their oldest boy had, only a short time before, entered the U. S. army and left home to fight the battles of his country, perhaps never to return. ===========================================================================
