           1851. The date Mr. JOHN CORNELL landed on Washington
	   Island. He came from Illinois. Was born in 1845, State of
	   New York; married ANGELINE CROWEIL in 1866; has three chil-
           dren. By occupation, is a laborer.

           1852. ROBERT SEVERS; came to the Island from Chicago; born in
           England in the year 1826, came to America '51; married MARY J.
           SHONKMITH 1847. 2d marriage 1865, to EMILY A. BOYCE; has two
           children. His son HENRY (now in England) married MARY PIERCY
           in 1877, and has two children. MR. SEVERS follows farming for a
           living.
