FOX, commander of the steamer Put-In-Bay, and one of the best known of the lake captains was buried in the little cemetery on North Bass Island, in Lake Erie, yesterday, beside the bodies of his wife and baby daughter, who died 40 years ago. Captain FOX died in San Antonio, Tex., last Wednesday. The excursion steamer Chippewa was the funeral ship that carried Captain FOX'S body from Sandusky to the island. The steamer cruised among the is- lands just as the boats Captain FOX commanded used to do, picking up mourners. ===========================================================================
