                       Eight Vessel Masters Among the Lost.

               CAPT. JOHN RAFFERTY, the lost first mate of the schooner
            Minnehaha, had for several years been in boats controlled by
            CAPT. JOHN T. HUTCHINSON of Cleveland.  He was about fifty
            years of age.  His home was in West Cleveland (a suburb of
            Cleveland), where his wife and four daughters now mourn his
            loss.
