DONOVAN, 60, well-known vessel master, died at the family home, 132 East Seneca street, at 11:30 o'clock Friday morning following several months of ill health. CAPTAIN DONOVAN was born in Oswego the son of the late CAPTAIN TIMOTHY DONOVAN and CATH- ERINE RIORDON DONOVAN. He was educated in the schools of this city. For many years he sailed the Great Lakes and was captain and last sur- viving member of the crew of the tow barge John R. Noyes which foundered with the steam- er John E. Hall December 13, 1902, during a gale. His father, who was captain of the Hall, and brother, JEROME DONOVAN, the mate, went down with the entire crew. MR. DONOVAN was a member of St. Paul's Church. He had a wide circle of friends and by his friendly and agreeable manner was highly esteemed and respected. CAPTAIN DONO- VAN had been retired for some time. Surviving are his widow, one brother, JOHN S. DONOVAN, and a sister, MISS ELLA J. DONOVAN, Oswego, and a niece, MISS CATHERINE DONOVAN, Syracuse. Funeral Monday morning from the residence at 9 o'clock and in St. Paul's church at 9:30 o'clock. ===============================================================================
