He was a lifelong resident of the Town of Ossian and engaged in farming for many years. Besides his wife he leaves three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Harring- ton of Livonia, Mrs. Howard Gill of Mt. Morris, Mrs. Harley Spencer of Dansville; one brother, Charles Witherell of Ossian, and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon from the Craig's Funeral Home at Canaseraga. Burial was in Canaseraga Cemetery. ===========================================================================
