Witherell mentioned in Pension Claim No. 386843 was a member of Co B 136th Regt' at Gettsburgh, P.A I had command of said Co at that time Said Witherell received a wound on the side of his head by a piece of shell on July 3d. After that he complained many times of pain in his head much worse at times, and had trouble with his head at the time of his discharge from the service in June 1865. I have seen him several times since the war he complanes of paralysis of one side of his head. Respectfully Yours J.J.
