JOHN WHITESIDE, Captain of Steamer Arcadia, Loses Life Aboard Ship. A dispatch last night from Port Arthur states that CAPT. JOHN WHITESIDE, of the steamer Arcadia, was killed by the break- ing of a derrick on that vessel while the boat was in port. CAPT. WHITESIDE was well known in marine circles and lived at No. 55 Copeland Avenue. He had sailed the lakes for many years and had a wide circle of friends. For some time CAPT.
