M'CARTHY CAPT. JEREMIAH McCARTHY of this city dropped dead at Erie, Pa., at an early hour yesterday morning. CAPT. McCARTHY owned and commanded the Plough Boy, a small vessel which he used in the wrecking and junk business. He was 64 years of age and leaves two daughters, MRS. MARY WILSON and MISS LINNIE McCARTHY, who reside at their father's residence, No. 292 Perry Street. CAPT. McCARTHY has been engaged in the wrecking busi- ness for many years and is well known at all the lake ports. His remains were brought to this city late last night. ==========================================================================
