Peter Paul Book Co., Buffalo, N.Y.; 1896 - 17- THE WAYFARE located at 133 Court Street, is a temporary home for women. It was opened May 1st, 1895, and is a public charity. Its aim is to give food and shelter to any destitute woman. No questions are asked -- the fact that she is in distress being in itself a sufficient claim for attention. The home has accomodated from one to ten women each night, and work has been found for those deserving it. About one-third pay the regular price of ten cents a night -- the rest work for their lodgings.
