              Veteran Lake Captain Dies
              
              Detroit, Mich., Dec. 20. - CAPTAIN DAVID
            GIRARDIN, master of the steamer Harvey H.
            Brown and fifty years a lake navigator,
            died at the home of his daughter, in Chi-
            cago. The body reached here Sunday morning,
            and the funeral will take place Tuesday
            morning at St. John the Baptist church,
            Amherstburg.
