                        DETROIT.
         Special Dispatch to The Chicago Tribune. 
         
        Detroit, Mich., - April 17. - CAPT. C. K. DIXON,
      long and favorably known all along the lakes, died
      in the hospital here this morning. He suffered
      amputation of one of his legs some time ago, which
      resulted in his death. He was about 60 years of age.
