CAPT. WALTER S. KELSEY, well known in marine circles, dropped dead in his room at the Hotel Whitcomb, St. Joseph, aged 60 years. He leaves a large estate, con- sisting of property in New York City and New Jersey, and vessels on Lake Michigan. His wealth is estmated at $500,000. CAPT. KELSEY was always well until a year ago, when he fell in love with an adventuress from Chicago. She jilted him and he re- sorted to many excesses to drown his sor- row.
