A. R. STOWELL died from typhoid fever on Sunday morning, at the age of 34 years. MRS. STOWELL’S maiden name was EUGENIA WICKER. She was born in Penn Yan, N.Y., coming to this city in 1873, and being married to MR. STOWELL a few months afterward. She was a graduate of the Tenbrook Academy at Franklin- ville, N.Y., and a teacher in several schools in her home county, creating thereby a large friendship among all who knew her. On her first arrival here she was engaged for a single term in the A grammar department of our city schools. For a time after their marriage Mrs. and Mrs. STOWELL lived in the city, but for some years have made their home on their farm a short distance northwest of the city. MRS. STOWELL was a member of the Baptist church before her re- moval to this place. She leaves but one child, and also a partially adopted daughter who some time ago attached her- self to MRS. STOWELL.
