The aged man fell in a stall and before he could pick himself up he was stepped upon by a cow. He was buried in the poor farm cemetery. MANLEY never was married. He was born in Ireland and was educated for a Catholic priest, but for some reason or other he did not enter the priesthood. He came to America many years ago and settled in Port Huron. For years he ran a dray, but he did not ac- cumulate any money and when he was too old to work it became necessary to take him to the poor house. At the poor farm the old man took care of the horses and cattle and kept everything in order in the barns. His excellent education resulted in his being able to converse with all visitors at the poor house and in the years he lived there he made many friends. MR. MANLEY'S accident occurred last fall and although he was given the best of attention by DR. H. C. MUDGE his old age made it certain that he could not fully recover. ========================================================================== If you've reached this file through a SEARCH, you can access more of our growing collection of FREE online information by going to the following URL: http://www.us-data.org/ ==========================================================================
