Special to The Free Press Marine City, Mich., Oct. 29. - Funeral services will be held here Monday morning for CAPTAIN JOHN KUHN, 84 years old, who died at his home yesterday after a short illness. He was for many years a captain on the Great Lakes and was part owner of several lake boats. Until he retired several years ago, CAPTAIN KUHN was for 32 years captain of the steamer M. Sicken. In 1858 he started as a cabin boy on the passenger steamer Comet and for eight years worked in that capacity on various boats plying out of Detroit. During the Civil war he spent 18 months in the navy. He was born in Detroit.
