E. A. McGREGOR, captain of the steamer Polynesia that their son CHARLIE who had been watchman on the steamer, had died of heart failure while out in the lake. The deceased was born in St. Clair 38 years ago and has led the life of a sailor for a number of years. He leaves a mother and father and seven brothers and one sister to mourn his loss, namely, WILLIAM, of Detroit; JOHN R., of New York; NELLIE, now Mrs. ROBT. RANDALL, of St. Clair; LESLIE R., of St. Clair; FRED M., of St. Clair; FRANK, of St. Clair; PAUL K., of Milwaukee; ALEX B., of Detroit. The remains are expected here today from the Soo.
