Banked by flowers, the body of KENNETH K. CRANDALL lay today in the home which the young victim of Sunday's tragedy was assisting his father to buy. "He spent most of his leisure time here," his sister, MISS VERA CRANDALL, said this morning. "He liked to read, and Dad was his particular pal." For some time, the young man was em- ployed at the Wills-Lee plant in Marysville. He had worked on the Omar D. Conger but a short time. "The Marysville plant closed," his sister said, "and he took the other work until he could go back to his old job." He was only 19 years old. He had attended the Bailey school on Griswold street, and the old Washington school. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. GEORGE W. CRANDALL and his sister, VERA, reside at 524 Huron street. The young man was a fine looking chap, six feet in height and of athletic build. The funeral was conducted from the home at 2 p.m. today with interment in Lakeside cemetery. Rev. J. H. Vatcher of the First Baptist church officiated. ========================================================================== If you've reached this file through a SEARCH, you can access more of our growing collection of FREE online information by going to the following URL: http://www.us-data.org/ ==========================================================================
