BURKE, a well known resident of Port Huron died at his home, 725 Huron avenue, at 3 o'clock this morning. MR. BURKE had suf- fered for a number of months from a cancerous growth which eventually caused his death. MR. BURKE was born at St. Mary's, Ont., and was 58 years of age. He is survived by a widow and the following children. RICHARD and EDWARD BURKE and Miss EFFIE BURKE. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock from St. Stephen's church. MR. BURKE was for a number of years engaged in the cartage business in this city. He was formerly yard-master for the Grand Trunk rail- way company and later became manager of the Sheddon Cartage Co. For the past few years he has been in the cartage business for himself and conducted the Merchants Cartage Co. MR. BURKE had many friends in Port Huron, not only among the business men, but in every walk of life.
