BROWN, 77 years old, veteran shipmaster and great lakes captain, who died here yes- terday after a long illness, will be held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow, from the family residence at Fifth and Adams street, Rev. C. M. BURKHOLDER will officiate. Captain BROWN is survived by his widow and a daughter, Mrs. HUGH H. HART, wife of a prominent local attorney. Captain BROWN had sailed the great lakes 53 years, retiring in 1917. Born in Bowmansville, Ont., November 8, 1850, he came to St. Clair county with his parents when he was a year old, the family settling on the St. Clair river bank near here.
