              RETIRED LAKE CAPTAIN
                   DEAD AT MARINE CITY
                   
         MARINE CITY, Mich., Nov. 8 - JOHN BOOTH, 80 years
      old, retired lake captain, died at his home here this
      morning. Mr. BOOTH was born in Canada and came to 
      Marine City in 1889.
         He is survived by his widow, Mrs. EDITH HEATH BOOTH;
      five sons, Capt. WILLIAM BOOTH, of Alpena; Capt. HERMAN
      BOOTH, of Detroit; Capt. HARVEY BOOTH, of Marine City,
      and NORRIS BOOTH, at home, and four daughters, Mrs.
      ROSS HASSEY, of Cleveland; Mrs. R. F. MACDONALD, of
      Detroit; Mrs. BESSIE GREEN, of Cleveland, and Mrs.
      WILLIAM COSGROVE, of Windsor. There are also 20 grand-
      children, two great grandchildren, and two brothers,
      Elder ELAM BOOTH, of Marine City, and WALTER BOOTH,
      of Canada.
