XIV. OLD SERIES, NO. 49 VOL. II NEW SERIES, NO. 12 PATRICK ADAMSON of St. Clair was on top of a load of hay, when the horses became frightened at a bumble bee and started off. He reached forward to get the reins, when the stake broke, causing him to fall down between the horses and the wagon. Two wheels passed over his body, fatally injuring him internally, and crushing the pubis bone. Medical aid was summoned but he was suffering too much pain to have his wounds dressed. His death occurred in a few hours. ==========================================================================
