Workmen in the Block I yards heard a slight noise and looked in the direc- tion of the ice house just in time to see it fall to the ground. The collapse is attributed to the antiquity of the structure and it is said that the build- ing had commenced to rot away in one corner. The loss is estimated at $2,000. The last ice was taken from the build- ing three weeks ago and since that time there has been no one in the structure. The work of refilling the ice house was to have commenced next week. "It is quite likely that the ice houses will be re-built, but just where I do not know as yet," said Superinten- dent of Terminals J. F. JONES to The Times-Herald this morning. "They may be rebuilt at the tunnel instead of where they were previously located." ==========================================================================
