                        Mad Dog is Shot
                        
              JAMES FISHER, Grand Trunk detective,
            and Desk Sergeant ANDY SPRING shot a
            dog owned by WILLIAM DART in the cor-
            ridor of the city hall last night. The
            dog was apparently suffering from rabies
            and the attention of the officers was
            called to the canine when it began to
            snap at people entering the building.
