              ALONZO A. ARNOLD, chief engineer of the 
            Pickands and Mather fleet, celebrated his
            62nd birthday Saturday evening, December
            21, by a fish supper. Relatives to the num-
            ber of 45, all of Marine City, visited MR.
            ARNOLD on this memorable occasion, and 
            watched the old year take its departure.
            Besides his own immediate household, the
            guests numbered his brothers, EDGAR and
            EBER ARNOLD, and their families, NELSON
            HETHERINGTON and his family, Capt. and 
            Mrs. JAMES NEAL, Capt. and Mrs. VAN GORDER,
            Mrs. RICKIE McNIFF and children, Mr. and
            Mrs. FRANK HART and sons RUSSELL and HARRY
            and Miss FAUNA BLOOD. MR. ARNOLD has lived
            in Marine City a great many years, and has
            hosts of friends.
