MARY JOHNSON, of Port Huron township, was fined on a charge of assault and battery preferred by MRS. DELIA SOPHA before Judge C. R. BLACK in police court this morning. The two women quarreled over a chunk of coal which had been thrown or had fallen from a passing freight train near their homes. MRS. SOPHA claims that MRS. JOHNSON knocked her down. After hearing several witnesses Judge BLACK found MRS. JOHNSON guilty as charged and ordered to pay a fine of $15. MRS. JOHNSON appeared in court with an infant in her arms. ==========================================================================
