A. T. Andreas & Co., Chicago - 1883 [565] ASA R. COLE, United States Inspector of Boilers, is a native of Troy, N.Y., and he was born December 12, 1842. He learned the trade of machinist, and at the age of twenty came to Michigan; was engaged as an engineer on steam vessels and in charge of engine and machine shops until 1871, when he was appointed United States Inspector of Boilers of Steam Vessels for the District of Huron, Mich., which position he now holds. Mr. COLE was united in marriage to Miss CORNELIA COLTON, of Milan, Ohio, September 17, 1868.
