A. T. Andreas & Co., Chicago - 1883 [557] J. L. BARTHOLOMEW, dealer in hardware, stoves and tinware; is a native of Onondaga County, N.Y., and was born April 24, 1819. He came to Hillsdale County, Mich., in 1836; was one of the early settlers there. Remained a few years, then returned to New York; afterward went West to Wisconsin, and in 1860, came to Hillsdale; lived there six years, and in 1866 came to Port Huron and engaged in his present business, and has carried it on since then. In 1840, he married Miss ANN ELIZA FOSTER, of Onondaga County, N.Y. They have two children - WASHINGTON IRVING, and DEMARIUS, now Mrs. GASLER. ===========================================================================
