VANRY'S Last Clearance Holland, Mich., Sept. 2 - Capt. BASTIAN VANRY, a veteran lake captain, died here today at the age of 70. He was one of the oldest sailors from this port, and was widely known among lake captains. He sailed the schooners A. P. Dutton and Tri-Color during the fifties and the sixties and after- ward built the A. Plugger and sailed her un- til she was wrecked at South Haven. He then bought the City of Woodstock in partnership with the late R. KANTERS, who was Mayor of this city and the vessel's name was changed to the R. Kanters.
