He died Wednesday night. He had been ill for 10 years. His last command was the carferry Grand Haven. He was born in the Orkney islands off Scotland and was one of the band of sailors who came here in the early days. CAPT. TRAILL was in command of the Naiomi, passenger steamer, at the time it burned to the waters' edge in 1904 with the loss of five passengers.
