Capt. Partridge was born in Manchester England, and went to Grand Haven with his parents in the early '50s. He was from early boyhood actively associated with lake marine and for many years captain on various lake craft. In 1867 the family moved to Montague. An inmate of the Soldiers' home at Mil- waukee for many years, Capt. Partridge only came back to Montague a few days ago. He is survived by three sons, Ed- ward Partridge, who is a captain of one of the Pere Marquette car ferries operating between Grand Haven and Milwaukee; Frank and George, the two latter resident in San Francisco. ===========================================================================
