A. CASTENHOLZ, DRUGGIST, DIES ----------------- Was Father of Police Radio Chief; For- merly Here ----------------- FREDERICK A. CASTENHOLZ, 61 years old, a former Muskegon res- ident and father of FREDERICK E. CASTENHOLZ, chife operator of the Muskegon police radio station, died this morning at his home, 863 Calvin avenue, Grand Rapids, follwing an illness of several weeks. Well known to many Muskegon resi- dents, MR. CASTENHOLZ was born here Aug. 28, 1877, and was the son of the late JOHN CASTENHOLZ, a former city supervisor. While in Muskegon, FREDERICK A. CASTENHOLZ attended the public schools, including Muskegon high school, and later was married to Miss ELIZABETH CURTIS in 1905. About 20 years ago he resgined at the Fred Brundage Drug company, where he had been employed, and moved to Grand Rapids where he be- came affiliated with the Hazeltine and Perkins Drug company. In Musekgon he was a member of the Knights of Pythias and of the Muskegon Lodge No. 274 B. P. O. E. He is survived by the widow, his son, FREDERICK E., a sister, MRS. CHARLES H. RUGGLES of Whitehall, a brother, CHARLES J. CASTENHOLZ, of Chicago, Ill., and a grandson, ROGER EUGENE, of Muskegon. Funeral services will be held at the Metcalf Funeral home, Grand Rapids, Wednesday at 10 a.m., and in Muskegon at 2 p.m. =========================================================================
