Records found in the earlier books were very hard to read, even with magnification. The penmanship was tiny and cramped. There are no actual "A" or "B" pages in these volumes. The pages had two sections and the bottom section was often used for a 2nd record, usually that of a child or infant. The dates in the earlier volumes overlap and are not in consecutive order
